The exact rate depends on the type of posting (static guard, mobile patrol, event, concierge, executive protection, armed or high-risk), the training and certifications required beyond the baseline Ontario Security Guard Licence (Use-of-Force, Handcuffing, CPI de-escalation, CPR and First Aid, Working at Heights for construction, WHMIS, Fire Safety), the equipment provided (uniform, two-way radio, GPS reporting platform, body-worn camera, vehicle), shift length and overnight, weekend and holiday premiums, and whether a dedicated on-site supervisor is required. We strongly advise against it.
