For celebrity appearances, red-carpet arrivals, meet-and-greets, press junkets and backstage VIP movement, we deploy a tight, rehearsed protocol. An advance agent sweeps the carpet, step-and-repeat zone, interview pen, press line and backstage corridor 30–90 minutes before the principal arrives. Vehicle-to-carpet handoff is pre-drilled with venue security and publicist — stop distance, door-opening sequence, first-footfall mark, walking pace and photographer cordon all agreed. On the line, the Personal Protection Officer stays within arm's reach while a second agent scans the crowd for phones, objects and approach patterns. Fan interactions are time-capped and buffered. Backstage movements use coded language on a discrete radio net so the principal's location is never broadcast in clear.

Every principal we protect is run through the same five-phase close protection protocol: (1) Threat & vulnerability assessment — open-source intelligence, prior-incident review, fan/stalker profiling, media exposure and location risk scoring. (2) Advance work — a dedicated advance team walks every venue, hotel floor, restaurant and stage door 4–48 hours ahead, maps primary and secondary routes, identifies safe rooms, confirms medical facilities and pre-positions evacuation vehicles. (3) Formation protection — agents deploy in industry-standard diamond, box, V-wedge or single-file formations based on crowd density, sightlines and interior geometry, with the Personal Protection Officer (PPO) within arm's reach at all times. (4) Movement & arrival — choreographed vehicle pulls, pre-cleared entry corridors, crowd screening and time-on-target minimized to reduce exposure. (5) Emergency action drills — cover, evacuate, and counter-attack drills are rehearsed so agents react in seconds, not minutes, to a push, a projectile, an active threat, or a medical emergency.

Vision's close protection officers are selected from a pool of military veterans (CAF, Royal 22e, infantry, MP), ex-law-enforcement, and career protection specialists — then put through an internal close-protection curriculum before ever stepping onto a detail. Training covers: IPDC-aligned executive protection fundamentals, firearms retention and weapon disarms, unarmed control tactics, medical TCCC / Stop-the-Bleed, surveillance detection, counter-surveillance, social-engineering defence, protective intelligence, and media / paparazzi management. Every agent holds a valid BSP (Quebec) or Ontario Security Guard licence, first-aid / CPR-C, and signs a strict NDA. Language capability matters: details are staffed bilingually (English / French) with additional Arabic, Spanish, Haitian Creole and Russian coverage available. Our supervisors conduct live after-action reviews after every assignment so lessons feed the next detail.
