Plant-environment risks we cover

  • Shift-change flow & contractor access

Peak-throughput gate management without bottlenecks, contractor-ticket verification, and lock-out/tag-out awareness at controlled zones.

  • Hot-work fire watch

Welding, cutting and grinding fire watch per NFPA 51B and ON Reg 213/91 — with pre-work site sweep and post-work 1-hour monitoring.

  • Hazardous materials exposure

Evacuation coordination, muster-point accountability, bilingual PA and liaison with on-site WHMIS/SIMDUT officer during releases.

  • Theft of metals and scrap

Copper, stainless and tooling theft prevention with scale-house support, truck-scale watch and seal verification.

  • Strike / lock-out support

Neutral-gate staffing, picket-line documentation, access-point protection and Criminal Code–aware conduct during labour actions.

Our plant protocols

Gatehouse & truck scale

Driver ID, BOL, seal and scale-weight verification with documented refusal process for tampered or overweight loads.

Contractor & PPE compliance

Contractor sign-in, PPE check (hard-hat, safety glasses, high-vis, steel-toe), JSA review and escort where required.

Hot-work fire watch

NFPA 51B–aligned pre-sweep, fire extinguisher readiness, continuous watch during operation and 60-minute post-watch with signed log.

Emergency evacuation

Bilingual PA, muster-point head count, missing-person report within defined SLA and first-responder liaison.

Strike & labour-action conduct

Neutral-gate control, video documentation of access-blocking events, non-engagement policy and Criminal Code–aware incident recording.

Environmental incident support

Spill-kit awareness, MOECP/MELCC notification support and 24-hour written incident report to the plant manager.

Frameworks we align to

  • Ontario OHSA & Reg 213/91 (construction/industrial); Quebec LSST & CNESST
  • NFPA 601 (security services in fire loss prevention) & NFPA 51B (hot-work fire prevention)
  • WSIB (ON) / CNESST (QC) incident reporting and appeal support
  • MOECP (ON) / MELCC (QC) environmental incident notification timelines
  • PSISA (ON) & BSP (QC) use-of-force, uniform and licensing requirements

FAQ

Do you perform NFPA 51B hot-work fire watch?

Yes. Our fire-watch guards perform NFPA 51B–aligned pre-sweep, continuous watch during hot work and 60-minute post-watch with a signed log delivered to the plant's safety officer.

Can you staff a neutral gate during a strike?

Yes. We staff neutral gates with non-engagement policies, video documentation of access-blocking events, and Criminal Code–aware incident reporting. We do not escalate and we do not break picket lines.

Are your guards WHMIS/SIMDUT trained?

Baseline WHMIS 2015 training is part of onboarding. Site-specific training (e.g., refinery, chemical plant) is added before unaccompanied duty at higher-hazard facilities.

Do you support environmental incident reporting?

Yes. Our guards are briefed on MOECP (ON) and MELCC (QC) notification timelines, spill-kit staging and first-responder liaison, and produce a 24-hour written report to the plant manager.

Can your patrol vehicles cross large plant grounds?

Yes. Our patrol units handle multi-hectare plant grounds with NFC checkpoint tagging and GPS-tracked routes for audit trail.

Let's scope your sector deployment
